M11 Link Road Film

Voices of Leytonstonia was a collaboration between Eastside Community Heritage and Newham Woodcraft Folk Venturers Group. Over 13 months we explored the history of the No M11 Link Road Campaign that took place in East London during the early 1990s. This is the project film; it tells the story of two major events of the campaign - the felling of a 250 year old Sweet Chestnut tree of George Green in Wanstead, and the final eviction of Claremont Road in Leyton. Many thanks to Doreen Golding, Sheila Freeman, Richard Leighton, Rich Paton, David cox and Lawrence Wortley for their contributions to the video.
